Realme, the Chinese tech brand, is planning to launch the Realme GT 8 Pro to enrich its flagship family in the last quarter of this year in China. A leak last month claimed the GT 8 Pro would be the brand’s most premium flagship. It is expected to bring several upgrades. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station shared key details about the phone.
Realme GT 8 Pro leaked specifications
The leak suggests that the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chipset. It may come with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, possibly the Samsung HP9 sensor. This same sensor is also expected on the upcoming Find X9 Pro. The HP9 has a large 1/1.4-inch size and supports 4×4 pixel binning. This tech helps it capture bright and sharp 12MP images with a 2.24μm pixel size in low light. According to the tipster, if this camera makes it to the final version, it could be the most powerful telephoto solution in its segment.

In the comment section, the tipster also revealed that the Realme GT 8 Pro will sport a flat OLED panel with 2K resolution. This marks a big shift from the previous model, which had a micro-quad-curved OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. Despite the design change, the GT 8 Pro will still include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a waterproof build.
Earlier reports suggest the phone will pack a large 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It is also expected to feature a metal middle frame and ship with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.
The upgraded hardware on the Realme GT 8 Pro is likely to lead to a price increase. It may launch with a starting price of 3,999 Yuan, which is around $560. In the same leak, the tipster mentioned that Realme’s secondary product line will also feature periscope cameras. These could include sensors like the Sony IMX882 and Samsung JN5. He is likely referring to the upcoming Realme Neo 8 series, which is expected to launch after the GT 8 Pro.
