OnePlus Nord CE 5 back panel and camera design
We’ve got the first photo showcasing the back of the Nord CE 5. It comes with a fresh new look with a dual-camera setup, which is almost identical to the iPhone 16 camera design. It seems interesting, isn’t it?
As you know, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 features a rounded back frame. But the Nord CE 5 shifts its design to a flat frame and flat back. The back panel is neat and clean, with the OnePlus logo at the centre, but the key is the oval-shaped dual camera array at the top left. The dual cameras are in two distinct rings, and there is also a dot-like ring, which seems like a sensor or microphone. The flashlight is on the right of the upper camera ring.
That’s a unique design choice, and the camera island here somewhat echoes what we’ve seen on the upcoming OnePlus 13T. That model also features two cameras placed within an oval module, though it’s set into a larger squircle-shaped platform. Judging by this trend, it looks like OnePlus in 2025 isn’t sticking to a fully unified design across its devices. Instead, each phone appears to follow a similar design concept but with its own twist—whether that’s a good thing or not is up for debate.
OnePlus Nord CE 5 key specifications
The Nord CE 5 is going to launch on May, 2025 in India. It will feature a 6.7-inch 1080p flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, a 7,100mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.
On the back, it will sport a dual camera setup featuring a 50MP LYT600/IMX882 main sensor, an 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide, and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. This will come with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a hybrid SIM slot, and a single speaker.
